JUMP JUMP and AWAY

 JUMP for JOY

Jump shots are always associated with basketball and any other skilled sports. According to Merriam-Webster, jump shot is a shot in basketball made by jumping into the air and releasing the ball with one or both hands at the peak of the jump. Nowadays, we can see a lot of picture lovers who are fond of taking pictures of their jumping moments, may it be a group or solo pictures. It shows that we Filipinos are really picture lovers, every moment, every action, and every reaction should be captured by the camera lenses. I wanna share to you my old JUMP SHOT pictures and as well as the latest ones. Hope you like it. Enjoy! :D

In a farm at Brgy. Pisan, Kabacan Cotabato during our shooting for a documentary film. The film was actually on the lives of  our B'laan brothers and sisters, their daily routine and how they mingle with people on other tribes.

The life of a Development Communication student--- taking pictures anywhere we want! Aside from we love to take pictures anywhere, we are also fond of going anywhere our feet could lead us. Basically, we go to remote and isolated areas to share our knowledge on the basics of life which our clientele on grassroots level don't even know.

A jump shot at Kabacan River right after our College Graduation rehearsal. Its not that perfect, but this is one of the highest jump shot ever. It was a photo taken by Randy Tumilas.

A jump shot at ABS-CBN Network Cebu City with Anthony John Agujar. ABS-CBN Cebu visitation is one of the best experience since we are given the chance to see what's inside the studio and to let us use some of their TV equipments.

Jump for joy at Cebu Heritage Park with my DevCom Batchmates during our tour at Cebu City. This was last Feb 2008 at queen city of the south, savoring the last day of our educational tour. DC Loves CEBU!

An old summer jump shot at Tropicana Beach Resort, General Santos City with my close friends Anthony and Geraldine. It was captured by Cindy Rose Acanto-Gonzaga while the sun is up to rise. Oh la what a nice view!

A jump shot at Sonresa, Samal City with the TANGLAW 2010 Staff. It was a great experience to be with the nicest people in the university.

A jump shot by the sea with Douey Joy Cagud, as we express our gratitude to mother earth. We really love to take jum shots anywhere, everywhere and anytime!

Group work--- a jump shot with my DC classmates before our graduation day. Being with these crazy people is one of the best thing I could treasure in my entire life. I've been with the group for 4 sweet years and its been a challenging roller coaster ride with these lovely co-passengers. I love you guys!

TEAM BUILDING: A jump shot at Peoples Park, Davao City--- with CYBERCITY Int'l School Batch 346.

A jump shot at Seagrass Resort, Samal City. Photo taken by Lisly Mae Callino. It is one of the BEST jump shot ever in my life. It was taken right after we arrived at the resort. Thanks Lis!

Toe-touhed once more at Seagrass, Samal City, getting ready for 2011 Freedom Climb at Mt. Puting Bato. Photo taken by Lisly Mae Callino, she's been very good in taking jump shots that's why I used to travel with her. She's a travel buddy of mine.

A jump shot at Mt. Puting Bato, Samal City. Photo taken by Lisly Mae Callino again. Looked how many jump shots Lisly can capture. I owe you a bunch of cameras Lis. Thanks for that innate talent.

A jump shot taken at Marcella's Rest House at Panabo City-- taken by Miss May Tejada. This is the outcome of how many tries. I think 1, 2, 3 cant count it! LOL! But still its a nice leap.

Photo captured by Anjo Dorado at the PBB House, Hundred Islands Brgy. Lucap, Alaminos Pangasinan during our island tour. We celebrated the first week of September in Northern Luzon, visiting Pampanga, Pangasinan, Baguio and a part of Benguet.

Photo taken at Hundred Islands during our first stop at PBB House.

These are some of my jump shots. I'll be posting new set of pictures next blogging time. Hope you like it readers. Bye for now, see you when I see you!

In Filipino Language----

PARANG KELAN LANG: The Sequel

Sitting in a couch. Writing this piece at 9:41* (Philippine Standard Time) at Door 102, Kilometer 5 Buhangin Road, Buhangin Davao City.

"Ma'am, kumusta na ang Thesis?"
"Maije, kelan ang DEFENSE niyo?"
"TER, MAGREKORIDA kami sama ka?"
"Amega, ang Video Docu human na?"
"Ma'am, Si DORAEMON paparating na! [Tenenene tenenenene]"
"Maije, shuin jomo? Mag recording na for Tatak!

Bachelor of Science in Development Communication Batch 2010--- the people I love the most!

Magakakilala ba kayo lahat? Galing lang ba kayo sa iisang Paaralan?
DC Batch TwentyTen: Hindi po! [In Speech choir]

Make-Up dito make up doon! Plucking ng kilay, patulisan ng pilik mata, pakapalan ng eyeliner.

Nestor combing the hair of Geraldine Fabella!

Nestor: Gieh, pahiram ako suklay!
Gieh: Pakisuklay narin ng buhok ko nes.
Sir PELLERIN: Nestor this is not a Parlor.
Nestor: TAGAM!
Hays, tingnan mo nga naman.

ISA PA...

Nestor: Nads, ako magsuklay ng buhok mo. Ayusin natin.
Hannadi: Sige nes.
Nestor: [Nagsawa] Ayan nhads okay na! Tapos na akong maglaro. Hihihihi

Apple Zamora, PALENGKE BEAT!

Apple: ... Isang Kilo ng Burot Singkwenta, sa Galungggong Sais-Senta... Ito po si Ma. Apple Zamora Nagbabalita. [Peace] hahaha LOVE YOU pol!

Jake Manero: How was it guys? Kumusta na ang mga trabaho niyo?
DC BATCH 2010: Nakayoko, napatahimik at walang sagot.

TATAK USM Survivors: Ate Van, palista na pud me.

After how many hours...

TATAK USM Survivors: Ate Van, magkuha na pud me. Kanang...
Kristel Baylon: Kanang Paksiw daw Ate Van, panihapon ko! [Humirit pa! hahaha]
Hays, Parang kelan lang.

Kinabukasan...

Ate Van: Oo na, Cheezy ilan? Piattos ilan? Nova Iced tea?

Paampon muna kami be sa bahay niyo.
Bai: Yes nalang Jokoi! Hahahaha

Walang limutan! Forever tayong nandyan.

I love PH! How are you gonna show to the world the essence of PATRIOTISM?

"Rediscovering Filipino Values. I act. I See. I advocate."

Folks! Lads and Lasses, Are we still motivated to show to the world how hospitable Filipinos are? How cordial and genial we are or how affable we are?

Do you agree, that we Pinoys are still abdicated to be the hope of our land, and to be known as the most respectful and dutiful Juan Dela Cruz?

Let us trace back and scrutinize what a Juan Dela Cruz can offer.

Let us also rediscover what can we do to achieve social equity for fulfillment of human potential.

Celebrating INDEPENDENCE Day @ Mount Puting Bato [Freedom Climb 2011]

First, Filipinos have always been known to be on top with regards to hospitality. We can mirror it, especially on urban areas. A simple family can provide a good shelter and food for their visitors. Imagine, even to strangers we are extending our Pinocchio smiles and Cinderella waves. That's how affable we are. It only means that we give assistance and support to each and every sect of the society.

Secondly, we are also motivated to help each other. The act of cohesiveness of a group or solidarity as shown in the legendary act of "BAYANIIHAN." Its an awful act showing how able-bodied people help each other in constructing villas or bahay-kubo and lifting it from one point to another without asking something in return. Look! How helpful we are!

In addition, there is also the desire to blend with the society, that's PAKIKISAMA. By these, we can build rapport and good companionship with our fellowmen.

At the peak of Mt. Puting Bato with Anjo, Lisly and Ryan

Moreover, the essence of Perseverance is still in our blood. Its still a virtue one has to possess. Remember the saying, "kung may tiyaga may nilaga", it means that we should work hard to be prominent in our chosen path someday. Its now the age of reality TV as stated by a well-known author.

On the other side of the coin, we are surely FAMILY-ORIENTED! The recently ended Teleserye of ABS-CBN entitled "MINSAN LANG KITANG IIBGIN", shows how we value our families. How we show our care and love for them.

Bernard Shaw said, "If you cannot get rid of the family skeletons, you may as well make it dance."  Today, let's go back shortly into the past to understand why Filipino families are what they are now--- how to make our own skeletons dance, especially the tinikling.

Filipino families should work hand and hand in achieving the goal and perspective of a best society. One should not be ashamed of what he/she can show to the world. We are the home of the world class champions. We should always carry our flag with vigor and agility, with fame and honour and with power and dignity.

Above all, we are also known to be religious in nature and we value fear of God. We can see religious people on board carrying the Magnificent Sto. Nino from Cebu, we can also see church devotees on churches like the Lady of Manoag and in Quiapo as well and also the habit of every pinoy-- to say Diyos ko everyday and in everyway. That's Filipino!

Naming all the traits we have seems to be the hardest thing to do. I myself, can count a lot more than my ten fingers can do.

We the youth of today are an aging sector. We must all therefore, pay attention to the rediscovering of Filipino traits and values, to the development of community empowerment and to the attainment of social equity.

For now, I can see that Philppines has a lot to offer. I should act now in maintaining the good values and traits my Nanay and Tatay taught me. By these I can be an advocate in attaining peace and development not only for myself but for my country, your country, OUR country PHILIPPINES. Good day!

Here are some pictures during the Camp, showing how we love our country by joining recreational activities that highlights true values and attributes of a real Filipino--- PAKIKISAMA!

READY FOR THE CLIMB! [Lisly, Me, Anjo and Ryan]

Getting ready to conquer Mt. Puting Bato (Me, Ryan, Ren-Ren and Lisly)
Energizing ourselves as we climb Mt. Puting Bato, thanks Anjo for the special breakfast! c:

No matter how young or how old you are, you can also show how you love the Pearl Orient of the Pacific. Just be firm and accurate with your decisions, fight for what is right and show to them what a real FILIPINO is. Love you country, as you Love GOD! Till next blogging time!
